Did you know that you could help a Wayne Co. Student attend college just by searching the web or shopping online?

The Wayne FRN has teamed up with the on-line search engine "GoodSearch" to raise money for the Wayne County Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship will assist a Wayne County student with the cost of college attendance. Go to www.goodsearch.com  and follow the instructions to down the a GoodSearch tool bar . Select the Wayne County Family Resource Network as your charity of choice. For each search you make, the FRN receives a penny.  After a while, that definitely adds up.  Surfing the web or shop online and you can invest in the future of a Wayne County Student.

What can we do about Prescription Drug Abuse in Wayne County?
Over the past decade, the abuse of prescription drugs in WV has increased among adults and youth alike, with profoundly negative impacts on individuals, families and communities throughout the area. There are several ways that individuals can help their communities.

Top Three Ways:
 1. DO NOT SHARE PRESCRIPTION Medication and lock up your medications.
 2. Properly dispose of all unused medication in your home.
 3. Talk to your children about drugs and alcohol.

To learn how you can get involved in the efforts to make Wayne County a safe and drug free county please contact Charity Damron at 304-272-6003.
